We women do it all the time.
It could be a just a phone call, but the eyes were furiously scanning the messages on MSN, and the fingers were busy typing away...
It was a simple coffee making process, and also randomly tidying the compartments of some drawers, and at the same time deciding which food to be taken out from the freezer, and not forgetting loading the dishwasher and turned it on....Driving and singing to the car stereo, while browsing the mp3 playlists...
Putting on a hydrating facial mask, while sitting on a toilet bowl, and holding a magazine for some convenient read, is that a multi tasking act?
Having the hair rollers on my head while waiting for the pedicure to dry, meantime applying some make up, and not forgetting working hard in my brain to workout best coat and scarf to put on, is this multi tasking or time saving?
I think, we multi-task so much because we just want to save time so that we can do more tasks at once!
