Life is great!

My shoes and I...

Looking at my shoe rack, I see a mountain of old shoes and old shoe boxes. I will need to do a bit of spring clean for this. It makes me think now, I have totally stopped shoe-shopping now after I have got a baby! This is so not me, yet it is true...

These days, I go out wearing pumps and Converse sneakers most of the time, and if i were to wear heels, it is only kitten heels...May be this change is because I am a mum now and wearing pumps and sneakers are more convenient, especially with a baby on tow.

I do not really mind, and I am still into shoes very much. May be it is time to shop for exotic sandals for summer! How about some crocs?

Sh*t And The City

Sex and The City2 is on cinema today! It is again, i dread to go see it, with my girl friends!

Unfortunately, we are all scattered around the globe and probably won't get to meet up this year! I miss them...

Kel in Malacca, Mun in HK, Evonne in KK. Sometimes i think, the four of us, and we have a bit of Carrie and Samantha in us, and some with a bit of Miranda and Carrie, a bit of Charlotte too.

Living in a foreign country, I could never find good girl friends like them. Sometimes i dread for the girl friends moment, and my only best friend here is the husband. So, this is what I called sh*t and the city when I have the sh*t moment and cant find my girl friends to talk to due to the time difference!

Vote For Change

As the title suggests... it is election day.

I went to the polling station this afternoon and voted. This is my very first time voting in the UK, and I feel very 'grown up'!

I love this line :
" Vote Conservative Today, Get Change Tomorrow"

I certainly need a change, a change of my current hairstyle, a change of job, a change of my spending pattern, a change of diet, etc... A change is good, sometimes...

Prices are going up up up!

Went shopping the other day, and I just have to say it, prices are going up for almost all the household goods. Went to Boots to get some goods for our toiletries cabinet. The facial cotton used to cost only £2 for two packs is now £2.50. The cucumber facial wipes (mentioned in my previous post) which I use a lot, has now shrink to a 25pcs pack instead of the bigger 30pcs pack, and it is now £2.69 per pack!

Petrol price has now gone up so much, energy prices have gone up as well, not to mention our Skytalk call rate as well...When all prices are going up, I just wonder why my earning is still the same? Inflation is hitting us hard this time... I, for instance, have to spend wisely and buy according to price tags!

When the little one is having his afternoon nap, I get some quiet time to myself.. Afternoon like this is much needed. Time like this normally won't last for more than two hours, and before I know it, there is going to be another hectic round of feeding and nappy-changing, and these days, baby wants a longer play time. We kinda run out of 'toys', baby and I are getting quite bored with those infant toys. It's time to get some new toys, yay!

Daffodils are blooming...

...and I am smiling!

Weekend.. I love weekends, although it makes no difference as I am a stay at home mum at the moment, I get no day off, or anything like that. Nevertheless, I am still feeling excited when weekend is here...

Things are going really well these days. Baby Jinc is doing so well and he is already eight weeks old. It is two months now since I have given birth. I am getting so used to being a stay-at-home mum now. Looking back, the early weeks were tremendously difficult for me, and now, look at me, I am enjoying every minute of it, and every day is special for me.

I love this stage of my life. I promise, I will make the most out of it, because time does pass very quickly.

With a contented baby, life is easier now, I have gotten back my 'me' time. Weird, I have been thinking about returning to work. However, I have yet to get back in shape, I am still having this baby weight and squeamish belly, which is very unglamorous to bring it to work!

Anyway, I love love love being a mum!

Everyone has a story...

I have been going to the Chung's a lot these days. Mrs Chung has got two boys, the eldest, Jason is 8 years old and the youngest, Kelvin is nearly 5 years old. I totally adore his two boys, they are obedient, smart, cheeky and both of them never fail to make me laugh with their jokes.

They both adore my baby Jinc too. Jinc loves to go there as there will be kids noise to entertain him. The two boys will play and talk to Jinc. I love to see how they interact and kids will always be kids. Their world is fill with simple happiness.

Mrs Chung has been opened up and shared with me her frustrations living under one roof with her mother in law and sister in law. I am her one and only listener, as she has completely no friends at all in this country for she does not speak English. I am glad I am able to listen to her story and encourage her to stay positive.

Life can never be perfect. Aren't we all have some form of complaints with what we have or what we do not have?

My one-month old..

Three weeks...

Jinc at 3-weeks old

Three weeks seem like a long time. .. ...

Now, unbroken sleeps at night would be my top list on my wishlist!

Our boy is almost three weeks old now, and we still have not established a routine. Life is still kinda frenzy, but I am enjoying every minute of it. One minute I will be smiling happily and cuddling the baby, another minute I feel like all I wanted to scream was 'Shut Up'. Hey,is this me, hormones or baby blues?

Ever since the birth and when I got home from the hospital, I havent even got a proper cuddle from Sugar. All the attention goes right to the baby now, and I need lots of cuddles too, not just the baby....!

Day and night...

Breast feeding, nappy-changing, cuddling, rocking and cooing crying baby, this is my daily job, as a new mum. How exciting is that!

I love you!

Today is Sugar's birthday, it is also our 2nd year anniversary of our official marriage registration.

Sugar said our baby boy, Jinc is the best birthday gift that he has ever had in his entire life!

i am coping...

I am coping as a new mum. It is nice to have a little one at home, lots of cuddles, lots of love and it's just amazing watching my baby for hours, I cannot believe that I have had a baby now.

Apart from constant wakes at night for night feeds and nappy change, I very much enjoy being a new mum!
